Public Beach & Swimming

On the site of the Westport Inn’s waterfront, Ballard Park maintains a sandy beach and swimming area with breathtaking views of Lake Champlain.  Picnic, take in the views, swim, or paddle from the Ballard Park Beach.  Please adhere to all posted signs regarding safety, swimming, and blue-green algae.

Beach Safety

Staying safe while using the beach and lake should be your first priority. Follow the printed rules and do not swim without a trained lifeguard and supervision.

Please adhere to all Blue Green Algae Alerts - Know the signs.

Lifeguards On Duty

For your safety and guidance, lifeguards are on duty every day from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, July 3 through August 22.

Note: Use caution while using the beach, lake and grounds.
