Ballard Park provides lake and beach access for the community during the summer months.

A big Thanks to lifeguards Maddie & Abby, who have returned to college, and Thank You to the town of Westport for its support of the beach. We look forward to seeing you again in 2026!

Public Beach & Swimming

On the site of the Westport Inn’s waterfront, Ballard Park maintains a sandy beach and swimming area with breathtaking views of Lake Champlain.  Picnic, take in the views, swim, or paddle from the Ballard Park Beach.  Please adhere to all posted signs regarding safety, swimming, and blue-green algae.

Beach Safety

Staying safe while using the beach and lake should be your first priority. Follow the printed rules and do not swim without a trained lifeguard and supervision.

Please adhere to all Blue Green Algae Alerts - Know the signs.
